What's your name?

Andy Palmer



What does your screen name mean and why did you choose it?

My ego hardy fits on the internet, so clearly, my only choice is my magnificent last name.


What kind of job do you have?

I work for the bike shop behind bike shops, Quality Bicycle Products. In addition to serving a basic customer service role, I also work in the International department, where I am responsible for our Canadian accounts, and have a sales role when dealing with them. Before QBP, I worked at REI in Roseville MN, and ran the ski and bike shop. Before that, I was in the Coast Guard and wound up getting stationed in Alaska, and worked as an engineer in an engine room.


Tell us an interesting/funny story about yourself.

I'll have to tell you in person. There are a few good ones, but the filth and depravity are overwhelming to the tubes.


What kind of car(s) you do you have? Modifications, future plans?

1986 Saab 900 Turbo


-Post 87' front and rear axle swap
-Brakes off a Saab 9000
-I'm convinced that the 1989/1990 transmission is one of the LAST in the country to be re-built with N.O.S. Saab factory parts.
-HUGE FMIC
-Stainless brake lines
-T5 “redtop” Injectors
-D.I.Y. Intake
-D.I.Y. ECU modifications
-D.I.Y. 3" downpipe, to 2.5"/3" exhaust.
-SPG kit, with later fender flares.

If you could have just one car, what would it be and why?

4 door E36 M3...with a turbo. Timeless, fast, and somewhat practical.


What other hobbies do you have?

Cycling, Auto detailing, Space-porting, Live shows, Frottage, and Beer.

I heard about it through urotrash, joined, and stuck around on EW because people actually post here!


If you could make a change to Eurowerks, what would it be and why?

It's all good, actually! I'm impressed at how well it's maintained and upgraded.
