I have been out of the loop for too long... why the sale? What next?

Time for a mom-box... reliable rice of some sort, a 4 door daily driver that I don't care if my kid eats in and scuffs the upholstery, a car that can haul her and a couple - 3 friends, a car that can haul her ski gear, she is past the 100cm kiddie skis (she'll be skiing for the HS team next year). Something that is prolly a couple years old, that I can hand over to her in 5 years and self-insure against the mayhem she will surely cause. I'm hoping if I sedately drive something like that for 5 years, she'll forget the example of how I drove the MINI when it is time for her to drive. I have the SAAB now for a toy car, I don't have enough automotive love to fuss over two cars.

It has a dent on the fender. It's the size of a baseball. My Saab hood blew over on it last summer.
