Default Twin City Wheel Repair: A Review

    Twin City Wheel Repair

    Owner: Mark
    Phone: 651-407-3636
    City: White Bear Lake

Issue: 3 piece wheel leaking air

My first time doing business with this company,
I called Mark in the morning hours and he said to just drop the wheel off.
I did so around noon. It takes around 24 hours for most wheels.
Next afternoon I get a call, he has good and bad news.
The wheel is all sealed up and not leaking air anymore but he seemed
to have accidentally broken the valve stem and promptly ordered one up
and had called all know wheel shops in the TC for a replacement to no avail.

After a bit of research (and panic) on my part I located the valve stem (I needed to
meet Jordan that night) I picked it up and delivered it to him and 10 mn later I had my wheel
aired up balanced and rounded (he had told me I had a fold in the inner lip).

All together it was a positive transaction, he seems to know what he is doing and is easy to get along with.
I was charged $85 for the re-sealing and $50 for fixing the folded lip.

I would recommend everyone give him a shot if they need wheel repair done.
Any more questions feel free to PM me or call Mark at his shop.

Nice work! Thanks for the review. It is good to give work to people who still offer good work and are honest. Seems like most places would have told you to eff off.

I checked out their site. Do you know if they fix curb burn/corrosion problems?

I have also done work with Mark at Twin City Wheel Repair. Great guy. He straightened out a couple of my Aristos that I had bent. And yes, I believe he also does repair curb rash/ corrosion. I was able to stick around to watch while he straightened out the wheels, and I must say he seems to do quality work.

I still need to bring one of my winter wheels over to him sometime before the snow flies. Last time I was over there we got to talking about marketing, and I mentioned promoting to the local forums, so I'd like to ask him if we couldn't get a "Eurowerks Discount" going.

i got a decent quote from mark on four wheels for curb repair. mark mentioned a slight discount when a. mentioned there were eurowerks members that were happy with their results and b. if he could keep the wheels for more than a week. mark also mentioned he's the only shop setup to handle larger than 18" wheels. he was a nice guy and very informative to a guy who wasn't really sure how the whole process works..

I have one over there right now......its a significant bend with a crack. It should be ready in a week or so.....he had to order a special bit so he could split my wheel......it has 10 point bolts.

He is a very straight forward guy......and it was a breathe of fresh air to not be told "we cant fix your wheels" as i have been so rudely told by the other places locally.

    Pic of damage..

What does he charge for curbed repair? I'm thinking about buying some wheels from a friend but they have a couple of curb marks on them.
