    Default FS: 20th Anniversary Edition GTI - 63k miles - $11,500

    SOLD!!

Selling my baby to make room for a slightly larger rig to haul my family (2001 S4 Avant).

    2003 20th Anniversary Edition GTI (#0959)
First documented Imola Yellow in the state of MN
Purchased new on May 29th, 2003 from Westside VW
    63k miles
    Never seen snow
    Kept all receipts
    $11,500

In case anyone is wondering what a 20th Anniversary Edition GTI is:

A base GTI GLS 180hp 1.8T is the starting point to which the following significant changes are added:

    6-speed MQ350/O2M350 transmission
Upgraded brakes (12.3 inch front rotors, 10 inch rear vented rotors, better pads, red powder-coated calipers)
Upgraded suspension (uprated springs and shocks, increased sway bar diameters, and revised bushings in the rear)
18" O.Z. Aristo wheels with ultra high-performance rubber
Body kit (front and rear valences, side skirts, hatch spoiler)
    Recaro seats
    Blacked out headlamp interior surrounds
Instrument cluster with aluminum trim bezels
    Black headliner
A few additional aluminum trim pieces (around HVAC controls)
4,000 units total in the U.S. and 200 units total in Canada
Cars will be numbered via a dash plaque
Retro rabbit badge along with red "retro" GTI logos front and rear
    Sunroof will be standard

    Maintenance/repairs:

radio replaced under warranty (CD errors) November 2004
water pump failed (old plastic impeller) Replaced by me with water pump with revised metal impeller. Also replaced timing belt, idler and tensioner (46k miles)
    glove box door (latch malfunctioned)
brake light switch recall (recall N4) July 2007
Regular oil changes with Amsoil 5W-40 every 5000 miles

Here's what I've done to the car in the past few years:

    Engine/transmission:

Revo Stage II with SPS3 switch box (to adjust ignition timing and boost)
GHL Motorsports 3" stainless steel turbo-back exhaust
    TyrolSport UG side mount intercooler
    Autotech intercooler vent plate
    Dub-Sport hard intercooler piping kit
Evolution Motorsports V-Flow intake with air batch plumbing routed from lower grill
    custom grounding kit
    Dieselgeek Ultra short shift kit
    Dieselgeek Billetshift cable ends
    Redline MT-90 in the transmission
    Neuspeed underdrive pulleys
    Turbohoses diverter valve relocation kit
    APR R1 diverter valve
Custom CNC'd brace to stabilize DV hose
    Samco turbo inlet hose
Low temp thermostat (installed during timing belt/water pump job)
Boostvalve installed to prevent boost spikes
    ECS N75 race valve
    Hitachi “E” coilpacks
Iridium plugs—one heat range colder than stock
MMP battery box with Deka lightweight battery
    VF-Engineering pendulum (dog bone) mount
    VF-Engineering engine mount
Turn2 polyurethane upper transmission mount insert
    ECS magnetic drain plug

    Interior:

IMP Concepts boost gauge (sweeping LED's built into the existing tach face with 20 LEDs--blue for 0 to 20 psi and red for 21 - 25 psi) Maybe the coolest mod on the car.
interior lighting changed to blue LED
door knob bezels changed to blue LED for car alarm
    Euro headlight switch
    aluminum GTI door sill plates

    Exterior:

ESE Tuning color matched Imola Yellow side markers and bumper markers
    Hella Supertone horns
    W8 Aero wipers
    Polo rear wiper
    Enfig Perfect Fit S2000 antenna
relocated GTI batch to the "correct" side on grill (driver's side)

    LED license plate lights
    LED back-up lights
    ECS jack pad kit

    Suspension/brakes:

    TyrolSport brake caliper stiffening kit
    Bridgestone RE-11 tires (225/40R18)--new in 2009. 95% tread left.

    Areas for improvement:

Normal wear on 7 year old paint--a couple tiny chips on the front bumper
Scuff on one of the rims--got too close to a paint can pulling into the garage
driver's side seat bolster worn a little
    floor mats worn

This pic was from a trip to the drag races (the one time I took it out to see what it would do). This was back in October 2006. The side markers, bumper markers and tires are different than what they are now. I plan on getting updated pics for this ad when I get the car cleaned up, but I figured I'd get the ball rolling and if anyone is serious, they'd want to see the car in person anyway to check it out thoroughly.

Thanks everyone! I hate to see it go since it's such a blast to drive, but I need something a little bigger that I can drive all year...

    Nice!

Sweet choice on the potential replacement as well, as long as it is a manual...

    Thanks Chad!

Here's a couple pics of the boost gauge. You gotta see it in action to really get the full experience.
