Default Mac Powerbook bend in shell?

Mac Powerbook has a decent bend in it, (opposite of dent). It works fine... but i would really like someone to get the dent out?

The bend is right above the CD slot...
Not sure if this is an option, but i talked to a friend and they said they did that sometimes... anyone here do that?

I'd be careful using a hammer on a computer. Is there a way to take the shell off and work with it from there? Does the dent pop back out if you push it in? Could you put a bar clamp on it and squeeze it back into place?

There was a recall a while ago for a case related issue in the MacBooks. Might want to look into that.

    How old is it?

If that happened to my old g4, I'd just push it back in with a piece of wood or something.

If i push on it it will slightly move back, i bet a bar clamp would work or something similar. It looks like i can remove the bottom shell with a very tiny phillips screwdriver.... but do you think that will void the warranty if i do?
will they know if i take the bottom shell off?

It is ummmm, i think 2 yrs old.
Oh and i dot think it is a warranty issue.. i think it i was a clumsy issue. My wireless went out so i had it plugged into the internet by a chord that went across the living room. I tripped over the chord and the computer went flying across the room like a flying saucer

I just threw a 500gb HDD into my macbook pro. Taking off the upper piece (keyboard, touchpad, etd) requires removal of all of the philips screws (#00, small) as well as the battery, and all of the accessible screws from the battery area. Two or three of those are a T6 torx.

Then, open the screen. Starting at the side nearest the screen, start pulling up the top piece. There are little clips that will pop out along the way. Be careful not to pull the thing way off, because the keyboard is still attached to the logic board via a ribbon cable. Peek under there and you'll see it. After you've got the top piece off, you'll be able to take a better look at things and maybe bend it back.

There must be guides online, but who knows if there's a 'fix'.
