Look again, those photos were taken in my basement
I just have to pop the dash cover off and it fits through the door.
This project is being resurrected, now that the basement is finished. And with an upgrade.
It's moving into my upper garage and will soon be running iRacing on three monitors. The stock steering wheel will have to go, though, to accommodate the Logitech G27 wheel. I just can't give up the shift lights and paddle shifters. Or can I??? Hmmm...
The pedals of the G27 come out of the case individually on metal plates, so I will be mounting them into the correct positions in the footwell. The brake pedal is now hydraulic so it feels and acts like a real brake pedal. Pretty sweet.
Driven by an i5 2500k running at 4.3Ghz with an XFX Radeon 6850. initial tests out of the car are seeing 170+ fps on track.

I have the system and software running but I haven't started putting it into the cockpit yet.

System is up and running. Three screens, 6 speed shifter, heated power seat, arm rest and cup holder. I'm leaving the door off for now. Waaaay too much fun.
It took a lot of tinkering to get it right. I had to hollow out the steering wheel because the drag created by the air bag and slip ring caused the G27 wheel to get confused when it auto-calibrates. I would like the screens to be lower, like not on stands, but it is OK for now. I also need to build a pedal mount to invert them and mount them about 4 inches farther back. That can all wait. It's time to play iRacing!

That is so awesome, would be cool to see a video of it in action.
