Ok so its time to button up a few things on the rabbit to prepare for the summer. Build new intake and exhaust manifolds and put on a larger turbo. Then do a solid lifter conversion so it doesnt float the valves above 6000rpm. We are about to find out just how much the little 8v will do.

Actually there are a bunch of builds going right now that will blow this away. The 8v is just as potent of a performer per dollar as any other VW engine. People are just now starting to realize this.

my old 8v mk3 gti 2.0t went 200hp 200tq at ronnies shop many years back. t3 .60 15psi, stock engine, 42# greentops and c2 software.

then the dash started on fire coming back from your old shop. it was totalled, then sold at an auction , then someone on here parted it out lol

The rabbit is almost ready for some more flogging. Compression test was good. Went through the trans and everything was good. Having axle problems and will be building some OEM hybrids and hopefully they will help with the problems I have been having. My raceland coils showed up today and I will be doing 10.1" front brakes to get this thing stopped (stockers are a little lacking). If I get the funds or find some used race tires I may run this thing in time attack as well as drag race it out at the proving grounds this year. The goal is to drive it up there and run a 10 second quarter and do well in time attack and then drive it home.

Ok coil overs and 10.1 brakes are installed. Tomorrow its FEA time. Hopefully I will make it to the cruise tomorrow.
