Looking for a set of camber plates for my E30. The cheaper, the better.
And by cheap I don't mean shitty ones.
Good luck.
Just get them from Turner Motorsport, Bimmerworld, or AKG Motorsport
This might sound like a stupid question, but humor me please. Camber plates are...?
TO adjust the camber.
Riiiight, I knew that....
It replaces the front upper bearing and makes it adjustable.
vw's don't really get terrible camber from being low.
word
I have some e30 crash plates if you want em - they raise the car about a 1/4" but you'll have an extra 1.5 deg camber.
They came with my TMS Jstock kit and I replaced them and the upper bearing with Vorshlag plates last year.
The crash plates are about as cheap as it gets for camber correction on an e30.
Here are the parts form Turner, I also have offset bearings
TMS Offset plates - $139.95 on sale from $219.95
BMW Offset "crash" bearings - $358
I haven't looked at these in a while, I forgot they were two seperate pieces. The BMW bearings retain the factory ride height, while the TMS plates add their thickness to ride height. Both add up to about 1.5 degrees neg camber (or cancel each other out if you install them backwards lol)
$250 for everything, $100 for just the plates. I don't know what they normally go for though
