Default wtb 16v exhaust mani, downtube and cat...

Well I while ago I thought I would be cool and put a techtonics race header on my 91 16v gti. The downpipe was shot anyways and I thought I would upgrade to a header.
Well now I am sick of it... Headers + Daily Drivers don't mix. Damn thing is too loud to drive daily. I want to go back to stock.

I am willing to make a trade or buy outright. Stuff must be in good usable condition

Header is in good condition if anyone is interested...

Ok. I'll bring it with. If he's not going camping, maybe I could drop it off at his place, go camping and pick the other up on Sunday.

Hey, I have a friend here in Duluth that might want to swap me. He has everything I need on a rust free, good working order, 16v gti...

I am going to go look at it later tonight to see what kind of corrosion issues are lurking. Hopefully not much since the car has never seen winter.

If it looks too bad I am definitely interested in seeing pictures of the stuff Tim has... A catalytic converter would be nice but not totally necessary...

I can clean it all up for you and make a test pipe. The downpipe has an o2 bung, and I'll grab gaskets.

If you don't get your friend's.

What does the flange on the downpipe look like concerning rust? Those are the first to go...

Rudy said he would swap me, but his stuff looks like it has been there since 1987... of course. Looked good as for corrosion, except for the triangle flange connection for the cat. I really don't want to deal with one of those rusting through. I would really like to see tim's downpipe. The less rust, the less I have to worry about those annoying pinhole leaks in the flex joint...

Tim, I don't want to you to do a bunch of work in welding the thing up if I decide to go with the other guys stuff.

As of right now I am probably just going to swap with Rudy.

This is BimmerTim. I can look tomorrow the condition of the flange. If you want to swap with your friend, that's fine. I can bring it along for you to look at.
