It was a good time.....I must of put on 25 miles of laps before/after the races in my jetta (one of the benifits of volunteering). There was a few rubber to ice cars out there (no-studded tires), they were really slow, but it turns out they were on all-season tires! :O Watching the sprint races were stupid fun. The g/f and I were cheering on the rabbits, especially whent they out ran the awd Subie! Of coarse Utecht wasn't driving at that time. The Yellow turbo integra had the fastest straight line speed of 93mph, the entire track was 1.2 miles or so.
I also got to drive the Mazda 323gtx (turbo awd) for a lap or so which was stupid fun.
i was in the 22 blue rabbit, we were having a few issues with the car and running bad tires on front, we didnt want to use the new tires on that rough of a track(figured we'd save them for Canada this weekend)
you guys are going to thunder bay?!? Dave K. offered me a co-drive the mazda 323gtx for the enduro for that event if he goes....I am strongly thinking about it........i am kinda scared to pop my wheel to wheel ice racing cherry! :O
yeah I'm pretty sure we're putting Dave's car on our trailer, i would suggest going up, the races are a ton of fun up there and the people are really helpful, plus my dad was up there a few weeks ago and said they were hitting over 90mph in three spots on the track, so it should be a lot of fun!
