Gas + Diesel fuel, we are at $201/mo.
Mikayla had a 20mi x2 commute /day.
Aside the moving cost fuel ($546), the greatest we've spend in a month was $328.

It's $4.33 right now across the street from my work. But it is still too damn expensive IMO.

For a while I was driving ~2500mi/month. That was around $250-$270 or so.

Since moving, I ride a bus more days than drive my car. My car now only gets used for the occasional short trip around town and highway trips. I'm back to driving less than 1000mi/month, and probably spend $60-70 on gas in a given month.

My Jetta has done ~8,000 miles since mid-May. 2400 of that was round trip to Austin, TX...
If we take away the trip to texas (btw, I got 42mpg down with 2 people and some gear, and 41 back with 4 peeps and stuffed literally to the gills):
933 miles a month at ~42mpg = 22.2 gallons/mo. at ~$4/gal (call it average over the last 6 mo) =
$88.89/mo

My wife drives the ~35mpg Passat to Plymouth and back (to the east side of St. Paul) now (~45mi round trip). She probably just breaks $200/mo.
