Default Delta Wing race car...anyone into it?

I have been following this for a while now, and it's been pretty fun.

300 HP, walking right by 911's and Ferraris on it's way to a 5th place finish at Petit Le Mans today. Pretty cool.

I like the idea, kind of a re-invention.

    Definitely very cool!

Motorsports is full of innovation, but the Delta Wing project has raised the bar. After their success at Petit Le Mans, I'm looking forward to following them race the 24 hours of Le Mans in 2013. It was too bad that they didn't have better luck this year.

I watched today's race and they highlighted it during the pre-race and followed it a bit during the race. Interesting car. Wish I had a car with that hp to weight ratio.

I've been following it quite closely now that I work for a Nissan dealership. It's quite the little car.

I think its awesome. I have a feeling its really gonna set forth some great innovations in the prototype classes.

Its neat. You know, its a local thing of sorts. Jud Daytons brother, Duncan, is the owner of highcroft racing, Highcroft being the street they grew up on in wayzata ;-) Got a close up last year, both with the aborted chevy power, and later at sebring w/nissan power- they did a few parade laps previous to the race. . Its a neat concept, definitely "out there", but both Duncan and Jud are first class dudes, and highcroft is a seriously insane shop.... Interesting to see where it goes.

Hopefully it encourages other people to try some new things again...the 6 wheel Tyrell P34 Indy car and the Chaparral cars come to mind. I guess this is kind of like that, just with a different goal.

Pretty awesome to hear of the local connection, I had no idea. Seriously though, a top 5 finish? Pretty awesome.

I haven't been following it too closely other than the coverage it's received around LeMans and Petite LeMans, but I totally love the concept and the imagination and effort definitely deserves respect. It's like the end result of the Batmobile and an SR71 making sweet sweet love.

Anyone surprised that Palmer is a fan of a race car that looks like a penis?

It is a neat car. I think they need to paint is some bright-ass color so other drivers stop running into it.

It's pretty easy to find. That one came from Rennlist.
