thanks guys. not much "work" to speak of though. basically all I've done is clean it up, threw some new serpentine belts on it, and tonight I installed one of my grant steering wheels that I got for a song.

Looking nice!
I thought for a minute the other day you were selling this. Saw a red Miata for sale in the Brainerd area and I got a little sweaty.

winter mode. (this was before I mounted the 175/65-14 General Altimax Arctics, though) thanks Devan for the teardrops! now I just need to figure out how I want to paint them.

I've been thinking possibly white, possibly just oem-kinda silver. I think I might do white with some sharpie art - I mean, they're $60 winter wheels, why not? the flat faces would be suuuper easy to draw on, too. I've even thought about glow-in-the dark paint. I think that might be pretty hilarious. Full polish? hmm... don't know if I'm that patient, and these are pretty beat anyways. I don't know how much polished wheels would like salt anyways.

How is this thing doing so far as your winter DD?
also those wheels look rad on this car.
pretty well, except for me being a dumbfuck and getting my first speeding ticket in it tonight.
youre making me really want one of these with all this chatter about handling![]()
it's a fun car to drive. revs to 7k like nothing, turn-in is immediate, and it's got a really neutral balance. doesn't get much better in a reliable, economical daily driver. keep an eye out for a good deal on one and go for it. they're good cars. just hope you have more self-control than me when driving it.
+1 on glow in the dark wheels.
