This is my old GTI. If I didn't just pick up a GTO, I would consider buying it back. Good luck, Jon.

The car has APR Stage 2. Needs HPFP for 2+. Package 2 is highest option package for the 06 GTI.

You may want to stop into an APR dealer to make sure you don't need a re-flash of the ECU.

Before the turbo gave out, it didn't feel stock. But, I didn't drive a bone stock one side-by-side either.

If I didn't just buy my Audi, I'd be considering this. Glws.

The driver's door can be repaired under recall.

Oh? I went in to check all recalls, and the only thing showing as remaining was an airbag sensor, which did fix the airbag light finally.

The door was more of a manufacturing defect. Stop in to any vw dealer and they should warranty the repair.

It's not actually a recall, but it is a TSB and it might actually be a warranty extension. Regardless, stop by a dealer and I'm sure they can get you sorted.

i'm wondering if it's the same problem my rabbit has. the key fob doesn't unlock the hatch 80% of the time, and the drivers door lock will go crazy sometimes, locking/unlocking itself.. no more door chime either or honk when it's locked

There is a small fold on the bottom on the driver side where the hinges are. It has made a crease in the metal. Electrically, it works just fine.

so this needs a turbo ($800) and 4 tires ($600) to be able to be driven to see if it needs anything else?
    How many miles?
    Hows the suspension?
    Hows the brakes?

did you put a tbelt in it with the newer engine?

It needs a turbo ($x,00, depends on what you want). It you want it for $8500, it needs new tires. If you want it for $10.500, it doesn't, and you get a set or rims for snow tires

    62,xxx miles
Suspension is coil-overs in the front (recent), other in the rear. Comes with matching coil overs to put in the rear.

    Brakes are fine.

newer engine was said to have around 27k on it. No belts have been done. Oil change is within 100 miles of current ODO.

So it for sure just needs a turbo to run? I might be interested actually as long as we know whats keeping it from running.

Edit: never mind I just noticed that it does run and drive. So does the turbo just not build boost or possibly have bad seals?
