Howdy,
I was thinking of replacing the sub-frame bushings on my E30 and it looks like this is one of the cases where the right tool will make it awfully simple. Does anybody have one of these I might be able to borrow/rent?
Thanks!

Cut the rubber out with a hole saw, or burn it out. Then cut the metal sleeve out with a sawzall. Then press the new ones in.
I've never seen a special tool for it, but that's how I've always done it.
Yeah, fire usually works the best. Just dont breathe in the fumes.
So the consensus is to kill it with fire! That means that I would have to pull the whole subframe out first. How much work is that? This is my daily so I don't want to start something and then get stuck half way through.
