    Default Does anyone know the difficulties of swapping to digi from cis?

    I am looking to do a swap from cis to digi. Has anyone else done this i have a 1990 mk2 and also was wondering what the advantages were and what will i need? Thanks guys!

    well since digi is electronic, you can get a lot better throttle response when tuned properly and with a chip.

    from what ive read it sounds pretty extensive. you have to swap out the entire wiring harness, and fuel system as well as ecu.

    just my $.02 but i think if you're going through all that might as well just do a motor swap

    I just want to update the car a bit and heard of people doing it and that this was a 12hspr gain over the cis and i can delete the air box and go with injectors to clean up the bay a bit too. But if it is too involved then i prob wont go thru with it. I just thought there were some old skool dubbers out there that have done this in the area.

    not worth it. CIS works fine. you won't be gaining much.

    Yeah it works GREAT the car runs like a bat out of hell, just a thought to clean up the bay a bit. Thanks for the input
