Did you buy the correct key blank to fit that keyfob? Also you could do it yourself all you do is pop a little pin out, pop the cut and ground key blank to fit the fob in, and put the pin back in..
I dont know what you think your going to have the dealership do for you... MK3 keys are cut different than MK4+ keys and take a different blank.

This works too but I have heard of people running into issues from the VW dealers getting keys cut since it isn't for a Eurovan. And most hardware stores and other place apparently can't cut them in their machines. Or at least that is what I remember from when I looked into it when I had my MK3.
