I thought the show was great. Didn't mind the few non-Euros, especially the little Datsun (510 I think) and the 240 Z. Was at the Further Performance stand and wasn't going to register, but glad I did. Getting a prize or two was a surprise and greatly appreciated. Looking forward to next year!

My ONLY comment on the non euro thing is that I never got a response when I submitted, and that was kind of irksome.

Having said that, I totally would not have had an issue getting a resounding 'no' from Kris. I showed up pretty late, but seeing just the few non-euros that were there made it rather clear that my car is not at the stage to be in any sort of 'exhibition' class. Sure, there's only 76 white ones with manuals, and that might make ME more proud of it, but at the end of the day it's still a nearly stock subaru wagon.

All in all, it seems like it was a great show. As I mentioned I showed up late, but I was at carcraft for the majority of the weekend. Wish I could have shown up earlier, but I didn't want to miss the bikini contest, haha.

Hopefully next year eurowerks is on it's own weekend. My loyalties feel so torn. I love this community and the cars here, but I guess for some reason (and not because of anything anyone has said or done, please know that) I don't feel as welcome around this scene. I've been out of a euro for over a year now, I miss the audi like crazy, but at the same time I'm very happy with my current car.


Either way, from what I saw, it was an awesome show, with some very awesome cars. Thanks to Kris and everyone else for continuing to put so much time and effort into making the midwest a 'must attend' car venue.
