Definitely. I didn't feel like jacking the car up and inspecting everything today, but peeking under there I could see about what I'll need to build the exhaust. I've got all that stuff ordered up now. I spent more on that than I think I should have, crap just adds up so fast. And then I did the unthinkable, chopped into a rocker to see how bad the rust was. Whoops. Its bad. Not sure how I feel about it in terms of letting the car die at a slow pace or attempting to fix it all. Probably letting it go…. So I've got to patch up that rocker before too long, ew is next weekend...

lazy on the pics, but I started to put my rocker back together. I started by reenforcing the pinch weld on the bottom with 1/8 strap and I've got thin sheet metal on just in front of the rear wheel. Need to clean that up then cut/bend the new rocker metal. I got my exhaust stuff today and removed the old exhaust. I just need to go get the straight pipe and tomorrow start welding.

Well I've officially created the worst sounding 2002 ever. Absolute shit when giving it any gas. It isn't like a hint of raspyness, thats all it is is raspy and loud. So I'm on the hunt for a short resonator. Summit seems to have the best deals on them. I pray that one of those will make this right again.

I was close to done with the first section when I got another package, DOH! forgot about the flex pipe.




Also pics of rocker…it sucks. If I stumble across a clean shell maybe I'll pick it up, otherwise I'll just play with this one until its too bad to use.

Holy hell I forgot how bad I am at body work and how much I hate it. Probably going to be at the show with a very messy project car that looks ok from the outside because I do not feel like getting angry at the car any more than I am already. Rocker panel sucks on the driver's side.

I got my muffler yesterday and put it on today. Definitely quieted it down, but it rasps still. Whatever. I haven't driven it yet to see how it is during driving though.

I am going to be getting another one though, something similar at least. Something a little cleaner to setup for track days. I think I started off on the right foot, clean e36 compact. Probably get suspension and tires under it this winter for next year.

If anything one if the conditions is it be removed, so when I get a aonther 2002 I can replicate it, and continue to be the only one around lol. But naw, the guy likes everything about the car. Just going to work on finishing it.
