Mk4 side mirrors

I have a buddy that needs both side mirrors for his mk4 golf gls. He'd like to get blue ones to match but any color can be painted. Who's holding?

John's Auto in Blaine sells aftermarket ones, complete with glass and housing, electric and heated for about $60.00/side.

They are flat black, so would look totally fine unpainted if he did not want to spend the money.

I had one on my Jetta for a year and it worked great, plus you cannot beat the price.

That's what I'm talking about. I know he made sure to tell me that he wanted heated so 60$ is a steal. I've already called him with this info. Here's a dumb question though, are the mk4 golf mirrors the same as the Jetta ones?

Yes. 100%. I think they might be the same as some Audi mirrors too, but not sure.

The only possible hitch might be in the connector for the wire harness. But I am sure if the connectors are slightly different, someone could eqsliy spice the wires together or wire in another connector.
