SCI will be hosting the Eurowerks car wash again this year. This has been a fun way to meet up and hang out the night before the show.

SCI will be closing up the shop early on Friday to provide a spot for out of towner's and locals to wash their cars before the show. A large variety of car wash products from the guys at Meguires will be on hand as in years past.

Car wash starts at around 5pm or so. For those out of towners that need to remove a large amount of debris you can stop by earlier to get the hard work done.

Last year we had at least 50-75 people show up through out the night. This will also be great place to meet up before heading down to midway.

Hope to see you all again this year.

Friday June 11th
5-9pm.

Pre-Registration update
Apr 05, 2010 04:58 PM
Due to the street being closed we thought we'd be able to open up a ton more spots this year. After measuring it seems we'll only be able to fit around 40 or so more cars in the street.

Sponsors and royalty are going to remain set up as before, as their spots there do not take any parking spots. We hoped to move them to the street, but it doesn't seem plausible.

Pre-Registration stands at approximately 75% full. We will have approximately 75-100 spots available the day of the show for those that have not registered. As witnessed last year, we had to end up parking people up and down the aisles of lot 2. We don't really want to do that this year.

Please register to guarantee you get a spot. Especially if you are from out of town.

Get on the ball. Register. The same gig goes for this year as the last. Registration is limited, as spaces are limited. That should be COMPLETELY obvious by how full we were last year. Don't count on us being able to secure a bunch more spots. We'll do what we can, but as always, the spots are first come first serve. Don't procrastinate...

Spread the word that reg is open to everyone you know that wants to be there. Without your great word of mouth marketing, this show wouldn't be where it is today. Remember, eurowerks is YOUR show.

Lets roll...

Eurowerks 4 Trike Race Info
Oct 30, 2009 04:08 PM
There will be two activities for trike racing this year. First off will be the main race which will return to the figure 8 style track. It will be side by side elimination/ladderboard racing.

We will be adding a second event we are calling "The Dizzy Dummy". There will be one trike (provided) that everyone uses and all you have to do is make as many laps around 1 cone as possible until you fall over or have to stop. Nice and simple.

There will also be the Tricyle Engineer Award as has been in the last two years for the most modified/most interesting/most something trike.

There will be CASH PRIZES this year. $50 for the winner of Dizzy Dummy and $50 for the Tricycle Engineer award. Both of these will have a trophy as well.

The Figure 8 race will consist of a $5 buy-in. Each person may only buy in once, but a single trike may be used by multiple people. The final winner will take the entire pot.

All of the trike rules are going to be the same as the previous years.

The rules are as follows:

Rules for modifying your tricycle:

1. Tricycle MUST come from a childs tricycle frame that looks like this:

There have been a couple different variations on this form. I think you all can figure out what will fly and what will not, but just in case here is what is NOT going to qualify:

get it?

2. Three wheels MUST be retained.
3. Must remain human powered via foot pedaling throughout the entire duration of the event.
4. Drivetrain/steering/frame modifications are up to you, however the center main frame of the tricycle must remain intact. AKA no making the tricycle frame bigger, stiffer is ok. Bigger handlebars and taller seat are ok.

That's it. The rules are to keep it fair, silly, and still have some creativity and engineering.

Judging for best modified tricycle will be judged concerning the following:

1. Creativity
2. Uniqueness
3. Engineering
4. Performance
5. Theme

Good luck!

If you have a question as to whether or not your tricycle you want to buy qualifies, ask in this thread.

Ready set go
Its official, Eurowerks 4, June 12th '10
Oct 07, 2009 11:29 PM

Here we go again. The show is a go, and we have a date. June 12th '10. The Fourth iteration of a proven success is well underway. Mark your calendars. Registration will be open soon.

Here is the official show site, and where you can learn about registration and classes and etc... Its early, so all info is subject to change in the near future.

And here is where you can get the majority of constantly updated information and conversation:

http://eurowerks.org/forumdisplay.php?f=53

The beloved brewery is going to be our show site again. It has become a landmark for the midwest european community. Look forward to some shakeups on the layout and arrangements this time around. We expect a huge turnout...

The class system we have set up is unique to the show circuit. It allows for many different marques to compete with each other. The european automotive culture is something we can all embrace, and enjoy together. I hope to see you all there next year. I hope more and more marques make it out. The diversity has been exploding, and I hope to see that continue....

Registration is not open yet, but I would encourage you to pay attention and register early. We basically ran out of room in '09 so most of you know how critical it is that you pre-register and gain yourself a spot. Stay tuned for that...

of course we'll have the trike race next year...likely it will return to a figure 8 race.

here are a few random shots from last year... Stay tuned for a eurotuner feature, and catch the latest (October) issue of PVW magazine to read more about the show...

thanks to many many eurowerks members for the photos below:

im sure there are more photos.... but what more do you need? :P

see everyone there..... right? ;)
