go onto vwvortex and find the air ride technical section, probably loads of better information there for you.

why not just install an aftermarket airride system with more range of movement?

maybe I will bring the GTI down with a big for sale sign on it.

not really, the wheels are really only worth like three hundred dollars. the car is worth five thousand, you get the modifications free essentially.
