Are mk5 rotors even thick enough to turn? A pair of Zimmerman front rotors are what, $120?

vac leaks?
No, that would be too obvious.
You and me both, Jeff.
This elicited a hearty chuckle from me.
It makes me wonder, does one have to rip them off to change pads/rotors?

craig, are you OK? You posted pictures of a not so clean looking swap in a donk.
Oh, really. Thanks for the heads up – if it's still around when I'm back in town next week, I'll mosey on out there and take a peek.
I most definitely see far more TDIs than 2.5s.
I see about 50/50 for 2.5 mk6 golfs and TDIs.
For $3500, I'd expect it not to have screws plugging vacuum hoses....
I walk by that thing most days.
Yep. Trying to wrap up the end of the semester has me pretty much where I left off, before. The previous owner of the bikes did drop a box of crap off at my house, which included the right ignition...
Exactly what I was going to say.
No, this will not fit /all/ 2.0 mk4s; earlier ones had a dual-outlet manifold and a dual downpipe to correspond with it. This is the single-outlet variety, for later 2.0s.
I'd pull the pan and fish the little chunk out. Leaving it sounds like a bad idea.
I think the seller is saying in a rather confusing manner that it comes with a 5sp transmission, and he desired a 6sp, hence its removal.

This is a really random thread to ask about those in, but yes, they're known as Centra 7s, though the chances of them being a real set and not knockoffs is kind of slim.
I wonder what three snow tiers look like.
