Hey guys, names cal, i just bought a 97 jetta vr6. I've been a Nissan/Datsun/Honda guy forever, but when it came down to getting a new DD, the Jetta mk3 was perfect. I'm active on forums like cb7tuner, club-s12, Zilvia, Mnsportcompacts... shit like that.

I'm from the Minnetonka area, some of you may have seen my tan S12 around.. i dunno.

just wanted to say what up, I'm glad i found this local site, VWvortex is too big to get to know anyone.

I'm planning on going to the car show in the next couple weeks, i Wont be entering, as mine is stock as a rock, but i need inspiration.

thanks guys!

i haven't taken a picture of the jetta yet... its kind of embarrassing.

but here is the previous owners craigslist post
http://minneapolis.craigslist.org/car/678291451.html

its got a new hood on it now.. lighter blue, pisses me off that i thought all it needed was paint, but when i got it from the JY it was cloudy, and didnt see the 10+ hail spots... 1 step forward, 2 steps back.

welcome, cb7tuner, isn't that a Honda Accord forum for the 90-93 era? more specific the F22A SOHC non-vtec engines?

I had a 1993 Honda Accord EX with every option possible, power seats, leather, moon roof, power everything, one small rust spot the size of a quarter, clean as could be, not a single problem with it. although I was missing a pedal (automatic) I let my sister borrow it until she finished college cause I went out and bought another car. She totaled it this winter :pissedoff:

Nope, it was silver with a red tint. forget the actual name but it was actually a really cool color, here is a pic from the day I brought it home.

That thing had almost as much wheel gap as my dads SUV when it was stock :O_o:
