haha, you asked for it :) copied from the ad I posted elseware.
Exterior: I have replaced the front end with a Jetta front end, this is a popular modification and it was done at a very competent autobody shop. I\'ve also installed a carbon fiber hood made by VIS, it has the two hood pins as well as the factory latch. The car also has a Kamei grill, a European 4-motion Jetta front lip, custom \"Joey-modded\" headlights with fogs, black mirrors, and it has been de and re-badged with an oldschool Beetle emblem and a German flag emblem. Also I have color matched bumper side markers and custom one-off Wolfsburg fender sidemarkers.
Interior: Factory black leather heated seats, custom wrapped the steering wheel with a fake suede material to protect the leather. I also made a custom guage cluster and some carbon fiber center console pieces. The \"VR6\" badge from the hatch was placed on the center console. I have also installed New Beetle black leather headrests but they are not in any pictures.
Suspension: Included with the car is two sets of suspension, one set is factory 2003 GTI VR6 suspension, the other is RPI Equipped supension which lowers it 2 inches or a little more. The pictures are with the RPI suspension but since then I have replaced it with the factory parts. This car also has a Eurosport upper rear stress bar, Neuspeed upper front stress bar, H&R adjustable rear sway bar, and new strut mounts and bearings. As you know one of my struts was blown, so I would suggest 2 new struts, SLK saw the exact struts for 99 bucks a pop.
Drivetrain: I have fitted a lightened single mass flywheel along with a Spec Stage 2 clutch. It has Brembo cross drilled rotors up front along with Mintex Redbox pads. In back are the factory rotors with EBC Greenstuff pads. The car has Redline tranny fluid.
Engine: I\'ve fitted a short ram intake with a larger K&N filter, a grounding kit, exhaust is a TDI midpipe with a Magnaflow muffler, aftrmarket tip, I have a Eurosport lightened underdrive pully as well as the stock one if you wanted to go back. Included with the car is two ECU\'s, one has GIAC programming and the other is factory. the car has new plug wires, plugs, coilpack, and battery ( Optima Redtop) as of last Febuary. Also a new water pump and belt as of 3 weeks ago.
Sterio: This car came factory with the Monsoon sound system, which is very nice and clear sounding. 8 speakers total, 4 6-1/2\" subs and 4 tweeters. I\'ve upgraded it slightly with the addition of a Kenwood CD/MP3/WindowsMedia player, this sterio is also Sirius satelite radio ready and has a remote, not like you can\'t reach the radio from the back seat anyway :)
Wheels: The wheels pictured are 2-piece Rial Daytona Race, 18x8.5 in front and 18x9.5 in back. These retail for $535 each and were custom painted to match the color of the car. They have very new Falken Zeix ZE 512\'s, also included with the car is a set of OEM 16\" steel wheels clad with factory tires, these have 60% tread left. As you know I bent one wheel and I\'ll either get it fixed or knock off 200 bucks, whichever the buyer prefers.
Damn glen, i\'d be all over this, if i could afford insurance on a MK4

it\'s actually not that much, except youd have to get full coverage if there is a loan out on it.

legally yes you need full, but not if you are sneaky (like me). Jk my agent is an asshat and doesn\'t realize I have a loan on my car.
Glen, I\'d love to pick up your car. I love the look of it especially with the Rials. But I need to find a winter car.:(
hmmm... i really like your car too glen, i am just thinking insurance will kill me and then the high miles

Any chance you wanna part with the chip and/or underdrive pulley (since you\'ve still got the stock pieces)? Please. Thanks.
email me at beenenm@union.edu
I\'ve decided to keep my car and do some weight reduction and have all the fun I can with it!

dunno if you still want the chip and/or UD pully. Right now the price of the UD pully would be greatly increased because it\'s a PITA to swap. The ECU would be cheaper but I\'m kinda using it as one of my selling points, so if it doesn\'t sell still I\'ll let ya know.

I sure am glen, haha. Honestly though, I\'m keeping it in mind... My dad\'s really pushing another VW. The only thing is, the high miles.

I\'m definately very interested and I\'m sure you\'d love to see it stay in the family. I\'ll run it past my dad in the next coupe days. I hope it\'s not going anywhere fast. Hey, and idea what it would run in the 1/4, or hp numbers? Maybe I\'ll have to take it for a spin when i get back.

with a good driver high 14\'s low 15\'s... I bet he has 180whp...its a nice 12v.... a superb candidate for a supercharger :woohoo: Vr6\'s go forever if you take care of them, and I\'ll vouch for glen doing that! :cheer:

not 180 at the wheels, never actually had it dynoed so I don\'t know what it\'s at, right now though it has the factory ECU.
Right now there isn\'t much interest on mine, one BMW guy that would like it but has to sell his 318, but I doubt it\'d be anytime soon, someone found out about some title issues with it and posted it on the thread so now there isn\'t anyone interested in his car.
edit: if you buy a 1.8t make sure to take one for a spin first, when I drove Neils, it was damn fast, but I\'m not a fan of how the boost builds up, maybe I\'m just spoiled from having all the power pretty much anywhere in the revs.
