Maybe I should know this already, but do you work at a body shop or run your own business or ? If I wanted to get a part or car resprayed, if that something you could/would do?

I'll have a better Idea of exactly how much a pair of side skirts will cost after I'm done with these. Pete was nice enough to be my guinea pig :D
Unfortunately I didn't get the paint sprayed today, but that'll be first thing in the AM. Depending on how much wet-sanding they need I might even be able to deliver them this weekend.
I did get the paint mixed up though, and I gotta say, reflex silver is an interesting color.
156.6 parts Coarse Aluminum
88.6 parts Medium Aluminum
4 parts Flattening
2 parts Weak White

Paint is on, Clear is on, I just have to let the clear coat cure overnight and on Monday there's one tiny little sag I have to sand out. So at this point I'm planning on delivering them Monday afternoon-evening. Pretty good turn-around if I do say so myself :D

Don't worry too much about the finish... afterall they are the lowest part of the car.

Nice!
You could make some nice change doing this on the side for people. I'd be more than willing to pay you to help me paint my stuff, I'm dying to learn and have most of the equipment.

Looks good, I'm not trying to tell you how to do your work, but I wouldn't get to carried away with blocking and color sanding on parts when the rest of the car is factory. You'll already have enough trouble making it match without blending.

Yeah, there's just one place where it sagged a little that I want to smooth out. The plan was to not do any sanding or buffing, but I won't leave a sag there.

Volunteered? I hope there was a good reason for that, like a promotion or to keep a mom/dad with their kids...
Let us know when she is there and give us her address.

Stirring paint looks funny: (Not so funny anymore, maybe it was the fumes...)
