You know I really hate when people talk so much about something that doesnt exsist. Anyway my sources have told me that the 3.6 engine is not fitting in the mk5 engine bay too well for sales so they are sending the 247 hp R32 again also with DSG as standard. R36 tsssk

thats funny, because a chipped 2.0T is faster :P

If any of you have taken a peek under the hood of the MK5 GTI, you\'d see what the problem is. There\'s barely enough room in there for the 2.0T, let alone a 3.6L 6 cylinder. As much as I disliked trying to do anything in the Mk4 engine bay, the Mk5 bay made my head spin. Ugh.

looks like the 2.0T uses all the same mounts as the 1.8T. I cant imagine trying to shoehorn that engine in there....

if they can fit a VR6 and a turbo under the hood of a New Beetle... I;m sure they would work something out.
