to add the the hilarity... my friend has a crappy red S10 winter beater. It looked very familiar but I assumed it wasn't him.

I called him today - sure enough it was him! Apparently several wheel bolts had rusted out and it fell off.

I saw a guy in a 70s GM Pickup try this trick yesterday around 5:20pm on University. I don't think it worked out well for him, or all the people trying to get around him.

LOL, that kind of happened to me on my 85 Rocco. Actually the caliper came loose and locked the wheel up on Uni in St. Paul. that was gay!
