Hey everyone, this year my wife and I, with the help of many other EW volunteers, were in charge of the show entry and day-of registration.

I'd like to hear from you about what worked, what was crappy, and your ideas on what could make it better.

We already have some ideas for next year to speed up the process, but the more CONSTRUCTIVE criticism, the better.

Thanks for a great show!

I would note that it was not obvious for royalty registrants as to where they were supposed to park or what royalty was.

Aside from the hobo that hopped in my car for a free ride into the show, it was quick and painless. MUCH more organized than in previous years. Whatever you did, keep it up!

I would note that it was not obvious for royalty registrants as to where they were supposed to park or what royalty was.

This seems to be a recurring issue. Even though royalty parking was expanded this year, there were far more royalty vehicles than there were in previous years. This issue will be addressed for next year.

The one thing I know Tyler and I both had issues with was signs pointing to the right way into registration. Between Tyler and I, we probably had close to 100 cars that tried entering the show through the side street only to be turned around and sent the opposite way. And apparently when we had to re-direct people, telling them to go down Marshall, cross Broadway and then take your first right was too challenging. We had a few people come back and get pretty verbal with us over their incompetence to follow our directions.

The signs where pointed the right way

yeah, they were. Matthew was even there standing and pointing which way to go. people just weren't paying attention. I wonder if the city will let us hang a big banner across the street at broadway and marshall?

Maybe send out a basic map with the pre-registration packets?

yes we noticed the spectator parking issue. We will take the map into consideration, its a good idea.

considering this was probably the biggest problem of the show (and not a big problem to begin with) i would say things went really really well. you two did an amazing job, as people were rolling in i heard a number of people remark at how fast things were going.

The secret back entrance under the bridge was very nice and smooth. Didn’t have any problems with it.

Did you have signs if we came from the east on Broadway? Finding where to line up was they only 'difficulty' we had on Saturday. Now that I know where to go it wont be an issue for me going forward but I could see better directions in the mailer or on the streets helping people new to the show. Or add a way point on the map of events that is on Marshall and 11th for entry to the show for participants. Would be super easy to map there on a smartphone. Minor refinement in a very well put together show. Keep up the great work!

yeah we had signs starting at the exit on 94. I'll see what we can put together to make things more obvious next time around...

We were actually going west down Broadway. We did not come off of 94. I wrote that in a confusing way.

directions were vary wayward for me. couldnt really figure out where to go to enter my car. this was my only problem. once i figured out where to go with the help of the staff, i thought it was kinda neat where the entrance for show cars was, just confusing for the first time. next year ill know where to go

We should put the address of Grayco as "Registration/Staging/Entrance" on the flyer as well as the registration packet. Instead of 'come to the brewery and follow the signs". This way, along with ideally larger signage, people will know exactly where to go. Assuming we're there again next year.

I think it went super smooth, even had change for a $100 which I was super worried about :)
