It needs a couple minor cosmetic items but it's damn fast.
Rare color, Baller DPE wheels, SC'd, engine swapped to newer M54, etc, etc.

"headers boost hp by 20 to the wheels" we didn't notice a difference until we did an active tune in my friends car hahaha
Dane, are you still interested in my friend Jakes car? If so he is having some paint work on it in the next couple weeks to get it all pretty, he will go below 14k because he sold the Kaaz LSD. Let me know man:)
14 is still too steep for me. i was planning on slowly building one, hoping to find a stock one for around 10
looks like im going to be holding onto the audi for a bit. i can feel my clutch slip when i try to pass a car.. wont be able to sell it like that without taking a massive hit
Audi is gone and im back in the market for a 330

what about a guy asking 9k obo?- not your color, or in mint shape, but figured you could talk him down and fix the body...

light colored interior just doesnt do it for me unless its bright white like the B5s4
plus, im telling myself to not waste my time with a car im not necessarily alllll about.. they made enough of them that one will pop up over time.. plus the longer it takes, the more i have for a down payment

fair enough. I'll continue to keep an eye out!
I appreciate it. I check craigs multiple times a day just waiting. There's a decent white one and a 325 red one that look nice. I might take a peek at the white one on bayern wheels

I'd go for a 330i if you can. The extra hp and tq is nice to have.
Here's a ZHP that's close to your price range.

Another ZHP that's close and has some mods.

There's cars out there but you may need to spend a couple hundred bucks on a plane ticket.

I'm almost positive there was no 330i in 1999. Looking at the wheels, my guess is that is a de-badged 323

that was my first thought. my second was, maybe that guy doesn't know what year his car is?
my patience is running out.

Did you check into those cars I posted a while ago?
im pretty dead set on a 2-door as of now
if only i could afford this

This actually might be promising.. not a 2-door but price/color is right, and the guy looks pretty motivated

That's a nice ZHP. I've only seen an Imola Red ZHP Sedan in MN. Never seen an IR Coupe.
looked at the 4 door today.. nice M interior, cant find any pics of it and dont really know what option it is... paint had seen some better days, a key mark but engine seemed solid, some maintenance history receipts, extra set of winter wheels and overall in decent shape. i offerd a pretty low amount and he is considering

There is no "M Interior" option but it may have had a ///M steering wheel and/or shift knob (ZHP's come standard with both).
The E46 Wiki should help you sort through a lot of E46 stuff. Additionally, if you take Inside & outside pics of cars you look at and post them here, I can answer most of your questions.

Just got my ZHP and love it - definitely grab one if you get a chance.
ZHP is definatly out of my reach
car i drove had seats with seperated thigh bolsters if it helps
silver trim around the dash and a silver short throw shifter, looked OEM, had the M stripes on the upper corner, but it was a 5 speed knob. the guy didnt seem to know all too much about it

A ZHP is not out of your reach. Those two that I found took me less than 5 minutes to find and both were in your budget.
Sounds like the car you drove had the Sport Package. The shifter was probably a ZHP weighted shift knob, a common upgrade on all sorts of BMW's because it's such a great shift knob and it only costs about $70. Silver trim means nothing, that's just the color the original buyer chose.
I wouldn't buy a BMW from someone that didn't know much about the car since it probably wasn't very well cared for.
owner only had it a few months, and now he wants to get back into a jeep

i might just hold off on this other one.. for 9K with 130 on it.. id rather wait and pay 11 for a ZHP with a little less miles
