Hey guys, so here's the deal. I am currently without a car due to the fact that I had to scrap my old one. Definitely not a fun situation to be in, but I'm making it work with some gracious help from other people in my life.

Anyways, I'm looking for a mechanically solid daily that's got a year or two left in 'er.
A little rust never killed anyone, so I'm ok with that...seeing as I'm used to Honda rust from my old Accord

MUST BE A MANUAL

I'd love to have a VW or other euro, but I know they sometimes have expensive problems crop up.
They are mighty appealing to me; I just don't know how reliable a vehicle I might get for what I am able to offer. I'd like to get my hands dirty a little but my knowledge is limited and I can't have my only car be in the garage every weekend. (Yes, I'm well aware that VWs are often works in progress)
That explained, I'm also looking at Accords (94 and up preferred). Might also look at anything other than american cars ;)

I'm pretty much capped out at $1800, and more around $1500 would be ideal. Not a lot I know, but as most of my income goes to repaying my college loans (private school is expensive) I don't have a lot of extra money to throw around.

Let me know what you've got. Reply to thread or PMs. Thanks!

I should also note, I'm not interested in trucks/suv's. Good gas mileage is a plus, and I'm a car guy anyways

for $1800, an accord sounds like a solid plan

Interested in a '95 grand am 2 door with the 5 speed and 2.3 quad 4? Has 137,000 miles and runs and drives just fine. Has a little body rust and interior is pretty decent. $1800 would take it because i need to save up for a gti.

Yeah, I know... I'm really hoping something else cooler will come along, but an Accord is something I'm already familiar with, so it's primarily what I'm looking for. Perhaps someone on here knows someone who'd want to sell theirs, or has one they'd sell (I won't tell anyone else, promise!) :)

90's domestic vehicles are my last resort, but thanks for the offer!
