Does anyone know where to find and what is the best Summer tire in the size of 185/60/14 or possibly 195 but I would prefer 185. And I don't want star specs or Azenis. Yokohama AS100 seem to be the only option.

You are looking for average size tires. Look anywhere. Not sure why you're getting mad about it.
Here's a whole list for you. http://www.gt1tire.com/servlet/Categories?category=Car+Tires%3A14+inch+Tires%3A18 5%2F60%2F14

Why not Star Specs?

thanks for the link but those were all All-Season tires. Im am specifically wanting a summer tire. Now as for Summer tires in a 185/60/14 All i have found is the Yoko EVS AS100, and then the Star spec.
Why not Star Specs?
Becasue I need a tire that will work on long cross country road trips, and one that will last longer than 3000 miles worth of driving.
Sounds like the Yokohama AVS ES100's are pretty well liked, but it would be nice to have more than 1 option :O_o:...
Anyways here are the wheels painted and cleared.

I've had my Star Specs for over 6000 miles with several auto-crosses thrown in there, and they still have plenty of tread left.
Did you have a set last less than 3000?

No, Ive just heard that they last considerably less miles than other tires... Do you know how many 32nd's of tread remain on yours at all?

I've had a set of the AVS ES100's and I didn't like them in the wet at all and I think they're one of the uglier tires out there with the weird shoulder.

hmm. grr... Can anyone that has run the star specs say that they lasted like 25k miles? How are they in the wet in the 2nd half of their tread life? Would you run star specs on a 2000 + mile road trip? Hows the hwy noise?

myself and Matthewslimmer have put a lot of miles on the yoko avs es100 (they still make these?) and we liked them. at least i did. i always thought they looked cool and liked the shoulder. hehe.
i would agree they weren't too good when it got colder out, but that's to be expected from a 'summer' tire.
huh, look at that. http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires.jsp?tireMake=Yokohama&tireModel=AVS+ES100&sidewall=Blackwall&partnum=96HR4ES100&tab=Sizes
i remember putting quite a few miles on mine despite the 280 treadwear. i suppose this was on a semi-stripped mk2 most of the time though.

I'm not sure about 25K. I'll let you know in about 7 years.
They're fine in the wet. I actually used them for a full winter (terrifying) when I was real broke.
Road noise is hard to say as I have a fair amount of rattles in my MK2, but I wouldn't say it's more noticeable than any other tire I've had.
I think they're great tires. I got them when they first came out and for about $60/tire.

I had a set of AVS ES100s back in the day. I put a lot of miles on them, and I liked them. They were not my favorite in wet conditions, but not that bad.
