Car got rear ended while parked.

For me, it's not cost effective to repair it, and the insurance company is not covering it (long story). On the very bright side, it's still mechanically good and 100% drivable... with no frame/ rear subframe damage. I have the rear left trailing arm and exhaust replaced, as that was the only mechanical component damaged in the crash.

But I'm thinking it's a fantastic track candidate, or whatever you'd like to be, as it's still a fully drivable car, except for the bumper and quarter panel damage.

In regards to the body- it needs a left mirror, a rear bumper (found one for $50), and a new quarter panel (depending on your needs). The rear floor was unscathed, and the rear doors open perfectly, so no damage there. It looks ugly, but the car is perfectly drivable as-is. The quarter could even be banged out to some extent I figure. It would have amber lights all around and stock exhaust, but no resonators.

Specs:

2001 BMW 330i
111xxx miles
5-speed
orient-blue on gray with burled walnut trim
xenon lights
Dual heated/power seats
Winter/premium package
Harmon Kardon audio
Power moonroof

Maintenance (most I have receipts for):

New alternator
Front strut bearings
Front right steering knuckle assembly
Front control arms
Intake boots
valve cover gasket
plugs
vanos rebuild (have pics of this)
rotors/pads
window regulators

I'm going to put up the asking price at $6000 or best offer, which is $3500 less than what the car was priced pre-accident (when it was fantastic... not so much anymore :().

Maybe if it were salvaged, undrivable and a total loss, which it's far from.

it's not a salvaged car. Not to mention that I've had 3 blokes from craigslist call asking if I'd take stuff in the 4k range, to which I declined atm.
