I nee new snows for the Focus SVT, Can't afford Nokian WR's that I have been running (now totally done, car is in the garage till I can get tires tor it).

falken makes good tires generally, I cant imagine these would be different. i run Winterforce and love them, my lady has blizzaks and they are great.

I read bad reviews of them, so I went with Blizzaks, and like them a lot.

I think the reviews for the Falken's have been pretty shitty - there has got to be a better option in that price range - look towards the winterforces or the General Altimax Arctic.

I have looked at the Hankook winter iPike W409 (similar tread design to some of the Nokian tires)

Do the hankooks- they are a bit gnarly and noisy, but for the price you cant beat them. Nokians are of cours emy first choice, but hankooks work well all the way down

So it looks like I will go with the Hankooks unless someone has some 205/55 16 snow tires with plenty of tread they don't need or can use.
