Mk2 jetta DD

The idea of selling my jetta has been going through my mind more lately, so i figured id post it.
I bought this car last spring none running. Then i found a rebuilt 8v long block... 0 miles.. swapped it in, and have scence put on 12,000 miles. I guess its worth about 1000, i would like to see a little more though.. I dont need to sell. willing to trade for mk1 mk2 if it was mk2 i would prefer not to be a jetta. or if you have a shell (fairly clean) that you want to get ride of, we can talk..
So im looking for your suggestions, offers, thoughts

The Bad:
clear coat is faded and peeling on the roof
the car does has some dents.
two dents on back froming rust (from bike rack it looks like)
back passenger door has rust (not arround edges, look at pics)
both back doors dont open from outside.. door handle issues.
also dont have a drivers oustide door handle.
*heater core blown [edit: replaced with volkswagon part, not taiiwan shit]

The Good:
137k on the body
1.8 8v -12k miles
replaced clutch-12k ago
recently replaced both sides cvs
replaced ignition switch
replaced back struts
the interior is perfectly stock, no rips tears or stains.
also replaced muffler
and during swap i had about 3 of every part, and put the best ones in this car.

If it's leaking than yes because that means there is a coolant leak. if he's bypassed it doesn't matter a shit other than you'll be cold driving it

I put a tube of aluma-seal through it awhile ago so it doesn't leak coolant, but it is not bypassed. The air blows warm, but not hot.

That stuff is garbage and fucks up a cooling system.

Bar's Leaks is the only one I've ever used with success.

The foam on the flaps in the heater box is probably trash as well, contributing to the lack of hot heat.

I know! I had to completely flush my whole coolant system multiple times, but it did work, i guess.

I'm not really sure how well it worked compared to any other kind of sealer though.

This was months ago, so if my radiator was clogged pretty sure i wouldnt have a running car. I wouldve known also...

You can try and sell it to some kid at school for a little more (like 1000). But if i were you i would drive this until you got that 16v dropped into a sweet mk1 shell. just my 2cents.

Heatercore replaced, only took about 5 or 6 hours. I don't really care to sell the car anymore, actually.

I didn't know what my heater core did when I was in high school.:cookie:

I didn't even know if I had a 16v or 8v. Some guy asked me and I didn't know what he was talking about.:drool:
