yep, its already up for sale. Its just not my style. I would have to put like 3 grand into it for me to really enjoy the car. So therefore i am selling it in search of an E30. The cabby was mostly an impulse buy for me. An E30 is really a car i have wanted for a long time.

Ok here is the story, a guy the down the street from me had it for sale. I bought it because it is in killer condition. I just bought it 2 weeks ago. Drove it for a bit. I had plans on doing a 16v swap but its just not me. I am 6'2" so i am a little big in the car too. So now i am just looking to break even.

-158k on motor (odometer stopped at 150k)
-literally zero rust
-never been driven in the winter (garaged all its life and stored)
-interior is perfect

the bad:
a/c is disconnected and heater doesnt blow hard
power steering leaks a little
the motor will sometimes have a rough start or die right away, i think it could just use a good tune up. maybe new spark plugs. not a big deal, it fires right away after that.
small quarter size paint bubble on the hood of car
about 2" long scratch on the left rear quarter panel (previous attempted to fill it in with touch up paint)
besides that, the paint is 22 years old. it could use a good detailing. some small dings here and there. but the car is in amazing shape over all

I am just trying to break even.
$1500 o.b.o.

lame :P and don't give me the BS about being too tall or big for a Rabbit...

E30's are pretty cool, but if you started as a VW guy... you'll probably be back.

Make sure you have cash layin around once you need to do a standard tune-up (plugs, wires, cap, rotor, fluids, filters) the whole loot will run you about 5 times what the same items would for that VW.

And take it easy on "drifting" it's easy to rape yourself when you try it for the first couple times.

dont worry glen i am not one of the drifter types. I would actually like to find a 325IX but any E30 is good to me. Yeah the prices for BMW's arent cheap but i am not super worried about them. And yeah i probably will be back to Vw's depending on where i get stationed for Airforce, I may buy a MK4 or something for a daily and make an E30 project.

sorry my bad a small little paint bubble on the front end. WATCH OUT THIS THING IS A RUST BUCKET!!! No seriously the under carriage i think may be the cleanest part of the whole car. It is completely rust free. and the only fluid is the leak from the power steering.
