not actual car, but same

On Sunday I had the chance to take a 1994 Acura NSX for a drive. It was, in my opinion, very very nice.

Before I saw it, I was expecting the interior to feel like a 300ZX TT I drove once (cramped and small) but it really wasn't for how low the seating position is.

I did, however, think it would be a bit faster. I mean, it was solid, and the sound the engine made was glorous with the intake directly behind your head, and it put me back in my seat a bit, but my imagination had me expecting something much beyond normal logic (since it's got a N/A V-6)

The view from the drivers seat was wonderful, with the front fenders sticking up above the front hood (trunk) surface.

I respected the car and the owner, so there were no smokey burnouts or bouncing off the rev limiter, only a few runs up to and a little beyong the "sweet spot" which was around 6k rpm.

Fun stuff. If I had the opportunity, I might actually want to buy one... but thats a long way off.

They are known to look good but be slow (stock). Kevin (Ktan) supercharged or turbo'd his so not so slow.

Kinda like them

Yeah, they look and sound sweet, but I outran a stock one once. That was kind of funny.

When I had my Fox Body (built N/A motor) I ran against one. I was pretty sure I was gonna beat him. Then he flew by me and all I could here was a really really REALLY loud whistle and BOV.

Love 'em. Would love to drive one, though I hear they are quite a handful when driven in anger..

I got a ride-a-long at an autoX once and it was fun but right it wasn't as fast as I had expected.

I always thought these were great style for their times.

(But I always thought Porsche was better )

The interwebz will tell you only 300hp, and I imagine less torque than a V8. How fast did ya'll think it was going to be? Soon as I found out they only had that kind of power, for that kind of money, I wasn't quite as interested. They are sexy though.

Still one of my favorite affordable super cars. They have classic styling to them too. I would love to own one but I would want to get it supercharged ASAP.

way underpowered but a lot of potential :)Coming from a guy that was driving a 50hp naturally aspirated diesel until just recently? :P

Really though, I'm a big fan of the NSX... I would love to own or at least drive one someday.

And then you take a set of corners with it....then it all makes sense.

Im sure the Honda boys and Ayrton were more concerned with making a perfectly balanced car that wouldn't overpower its rear wheels in a corner than straight line speed.

Not saying that it couln't use more power (what car cant?). But people calling it "slow" makes me laugh.
