Nice!

Are you gonna paint/polish them?

Did you buy those used Kris, or have them made? They\'ll look awesome!

oh cool! I think we should figure something out with clips, silicone wont hold caps on for very long when spinning and moving with the road.

What color? polished??

My vote is colormatched centers and gloss black lip :)

I had to adjust the coils down about 2 inches or so. I ended up accidentally ripping my duckbill off when I pulled the jack out. cant use the behemoth jack anymore thats for sure. I didnt do the rear as one of them was not holding air. I think I have to have the tire remounted. At least I hope thats what the problem is.

the wheel doesnt hold air because the welds on the wheel suck. I brought one in to have it remounted. Its not the bead. I come home and the ones I mounted on my car are flat. this is not cool. Apparently I was supposed to run silcone around the bead? This would have been something that could have been brought to my attention before I spent 90$ having them mounted and balanced. Now I have to have them dismounted, bring all the **** home, clean them up, run the bead, andthen pay another 100$ to have them mounted and balanced again. Not....cool...at....all. Im not a welder, but in my opinion, I shouldn\'t have to be using silicone to seal the weld.

you pay $90 for mounting and balancing?! holy chit!

I ground off all the paint and primer. using the silicone I got for jes\'s bbs wheels to hopefully seal them up. I still don\'t feel I should have to be doing this.

and valve stems. sears is around 100 w/out valve stems, and discount tire is more too. this is the best deal I could find.

I tested the rest of them. 3 leak one doesnt. They balance out alright, one didnt even need any weights. Im pleased w/ that.

I dropped them off at the tire place, I\'ll be picking them up at 9 to bring them home to seal the seam. If this doesnt work i\'m going to slit my wrists.

Yeah, $25 a corner is about right. But if the wheels aren\'t holding air, they probably should have let you know. I\'d see if you could get a discount. Back when I worked at tires plus, I\'d be able to swing that. I personally could dismount/mount/balance a set of wheels and tires in around 30min, and I wasn\'t a tech.

As far as the leak, I might try to get down to bare metal and use some jb weld, that silicon will probably not hold for long, but I could be wrong. It they\'re steel, you could just have chuck check the bead and re-weld?

Wow that\'s lame. Sorry to hear that!

Digital K

here is an example what is commonplace in the weld, and is probably why it is leaking.

That\'s garbage. Not only will that not hold air, but it isnt safe. We build a baja car hear every year for an SAE (society of automotive engineers) competition (ill be captain next year) and if they can stick a pin into any weld on your entire frame, you don\'t pass tech.

I\'ve only spent probably 10 hours on a mig and can lay a better bead than that. I\'d talk to someone locally with some welding skill and see if they can fix it up, shouldn\'t be too hard. You\'d just have to be careful to try and keep things even so the balancing isn\'t too nasty.

WOW i have about 100+ hours on a mig and tig welders along with gas welding and i could do a better bead than that in my sleep. Kris i could probably mount those for you in the shop at my school as long as my teacher is ok with it.
