I\'m looking at picking up a used starter camera. My Point and Shoot just isnt cutting it anymore.

If anyone knows someone whos selling a camera in the <500 dollar price range, Im Mostly looking at either a 350D or a D50.

Thanks,
Scott

You could probably find some new gear for right around your $500 price range...

get a 300d or 10d. you dont need anything more for a starter camera.

I\'d have to agree with the 300D or the 10D. I\'ve got a 300D/Digital Rebel and even though it\'s older, the thing that\'s kept me from upgrading to the newer rebels is the fact that the one I\'ve got is bigger and actually feels like a camera. I\'ve noticed that the newer digital rebels (XT and XTi) have tiny hand grips and are really plastic-y..

That\'s why I opted for the D70 over the D50 and rebel. They both felt sorta small and plasticy in my hands. The D70 has some heft to it. I\'m sure either of the two will do you well.
