I don't like the rims at all. Overall it looks OK. I certainly like the white/black. :D

Also, the Insight is Honda's attempt to get the Prius lovers over to them, so they made it looks as close as possible (purely opinion and speculation here, but I bet I am right).

i like it better than the prius. it looks like it could look pretty cool with the right set of wheels and suspension.

Also the front looks like an exaggeration of the Passat front end or even the CC

I hope you are kidding. Cars are coming from the dealership now with black/polished lip wheels now,thats a sign of it has jumped the shark.

Actually, if you understand aerodynamics, the Prius is shaped that way for a very specific reason. Honda understood the benefits of that shape and did similar.

I understand it entirely. That shape has one of the lowest wind resistance (drag) ever for a mainline production car. And since that market is all about getting the most " green", that is what they go for. However, it could still look different while maintaining the same overall shape.

Or because the Prius has a retardedly low .26 Cd? And that helps get better MPG?
