If anyone could do the RWD it would be rhys millen. He is one of the best drivers ever.
He did Formula D, D1GP, stunt driving for Dukes of Hazard and F&F Tokyo Drift, and now WRC

His old man is no hack either. I heard a rumor that son had to call dad up for a couple of the stunts on F&F.
Amtrakjack and I were there for the race. I only took a few video's. Here is a 50 meg video of Monster showing how it gets it done.

And there is this one:

I wish they would have just taped his race vs. editing together practice and the race. I ended up having a conversation with the engineers for this car. They were speaking Swedish and I was speaking English, but we talk for 10-15 minutes anyway.

Funny.
Did you see the RS200 evo? Did they even get close to breaking the record?

My family was there last year and we missed the race by a week. I about punched my parents.
Jeebus, this man knows how to steer with the throttle. Figures though, with all his experience.
Also, I respect pretty much anyone who has the balls to drive all-out at pikes peak. I know I wouldn't.

I tried, but my car lost power really quickly. Altitude pwns low hp cars.

Yeah it was impressive. It is over a 1,000 hp at the base of the hill. I think he was in the 12-14 minute mark if I remember right.
