I would buy one if I had the money, Camaro is my favorite car.

Don't admit that here, people will tear you a new one.
On that note, I'm a life long Mopar guy and (old) Chargers are my favorite car.

- Hey Jack, what's happenin'?
- I don't know.
- Well uh, rumour around town says you mighht be thinkin' 'bout goin' down to
the shore.
- Uh, yeah, I think I'm gonna go down to thhe shore.
- Whadda ya gonna do down there?
- Uh, I don't know, p-play some video gamess, buy some Def Leppard t-shirts.
- Don't forget your Motley Crue t-shirt; y''know all proceeds go to get their
lead singer out a' jail.
- Uh huh.
- Can't wait to go down. Hey uh, were ya goonna check out the sand bar while
you're down there?
- Uh, what's the Sand Bar?
- Ah, it's a place that lets sixteen year-oold kids drink.
- Ah, cool.
- Ya hey, guess who's gonna be there?
- Uh, who?
- My favourite cover band, Crystal Ship.
- Wow.
- Yeah, they do a Doors show, you'd be reallly impressed, in fact, it goes a
little like this:
Love me two times baby
Love me twice today
Love me two times girl
Cause I got AIDS
Love me two times baby,
once for tomorrow,
once cause I got AIDS
- Uh...
- Pretty good Jim Morrison impersonation thhere. I hope those guys have a
good sense a' humour and don't take us into court.
- Uh, what's the court?
- Never mind that, the important thing heree...
- You mean the People's Court.
- The... Now, that's another story. The impportant thing here is that we get
to the part where you ask me how I'm gonna get down to the shore.
- Oh, how you gettin' down to the shore?
- Funny you should ask, I've got a car now..
- Ah wow, how'd ya get a car?
- Oh, my folks drove it up here from the Baahamas.
- You're kidding!
- I must be, the Bahamas are islands. Okay,, the important thing here is
that, uh, you ask me what kinda car it is.
- Uh uh, what kinda car do ya' got?
- I've got a bitchin' Camaro...
(1.2.3.4)
Bitchin' Camaro, Bitchin' Camaro!
I ran over my neighbors
Bitchin' Camaro, Bitchin' Camaro!
Now I'm in all the papers
My folks bought me a bitchin' Camaro
With no insurance to match
So if I happen to run you down
Please don't leave a scratch
I ran over some old lady
One night at the county fair
And I didn't get arrested
Because my dad's the mayor
Bitchin' Camaro, Bitchin' Camaro!
Donuts on your lawn
Bitchin' Camaro, Bitchin' Camaro!
Tony Orlando and Dawn
When I drive past the kids
They all spit and cuss
Cause I've got a bitchin' Camaro
And they have to ride the bus
So you'd better get out of my way
When I come through your yard
Cause I've got a bitchin' Camaro
And an Exxon credit card
Bitchin' Camaro, Bitchin' Camaro!
Hey man where ya headed?
Bitchin' Camaro, Bitchin' Camaro!
I'm drunk on unleaded!

I don't know.... I like the new Challengers better, but they are so expensive. Doesn't matter though, I won't be buying either ever. It is nice that they are offering them about $10k cheaper than the Challengers though (at least on the high end)
mattdesmond

I'd definitely opt for a challenger. Though I'd have to get the option without the dumb stripes. They just don't look right like they did on the original ones.
I can't wait until they are available at the rental counter. 300hp V6? yes please

v6 should not be an option in either of the cars. look what it did to the charger.

The V6 Camaro is almost as powerful as the the GT Mustang

I'm glad this thing actually looks decent...when I first heard a new camaro was coming out, I just hoped that it wouldn't be something cheesy, like the '90s camarobirds.
I like it when manufacturers make a car that is sort of a throwback to an older car, and do a good job of it.

The new Chargers a re a defamation of the Charger name.... what a joke. The Challenger's and Camaros, on the other hand, are both hot throwbacks. I don't care what anyone says, the Charger is just a 300 with a spoiler.

Just got an invite through culture|garage to come test drive the new Camaro and meet the designer. Then a wine and dine afterwards. Unfortunately, I'm out of town so I'm sending someone in my place.
Really wanted to check this car out.
Anyone driven one yet?

No, but I have seen them at the Avis counter. 300hp V6 sounds like a good time for a rental

I avoid flying places because rental cars usually suck, but now flying seems like a good excuse to try a new car for a week.
anyone know what these things weigh? I know 300hp sounds good and all but if it is in a 4500lbs car then thats about as fast as my stock GTI.

Actually I drove one and I was a bit disappointed. Should be faster for what it looks and sounds like. But the steering felt nice. Bottom line, I'd rather drive a B5.5 V6.

Well Avis doesn't rent those. Give the choice between a Camro and an Impala, I'm siding with the Camaro

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!!!
I'm sorry... this is just unacceptable. I feel bad for Chevy and GM trying to pull out of this slump, but his just locked the coffin in my opinion.
I honestly like this car too. It looks really good. I definitely enjoyed it in the new tranformers movie.

Jeez.
Couple the lame ass V8 tranny, with the base engines tendency to stretch timing chains, and you have a REAL winner on your hands.
Sucks. I saw a yellow one at Good Earth in roseville a few days ago, and thought it looked pretty nice.

At least with GM's Caddy CTS-V you could get 10 to 20k miles before needing another diff. Sounds like these are failing right out of the box...

That review told me exactly what I expected.
They look tough, sound awesome and... and... thats it.
They tried to make them look like the older (better) muscle cars from the 60's. They did a decent job by combining modern designs, but they still all look the same.
They are fast in a straight line, but they are heavy, can't handle for shit and completely unresponsive... again what I expected.
So I guess, all in all, they did a good job bringing back the old muscle cars.
