Anyone on here cut/install the "clear bra" stuff? Now that I have a nice new front end, I am not so eager to get it hacked up.

Or does anyone else have suggestions on alternate type of product that are cheaper/easier to self-install?

Jon I'll just come over and put a nice thick coat of undercoating on there for ya. There may be some overspray but I'm sure your paint will stay safe under there.

Haha

i had the clear bra installed on my first MK4, it was really really nice, except i had a massive pebble fly off a car and hit my hood, it didnt do shit to the paint but there was a noticeable indent on the clear bra.

If you still need somebody to do it, my friend Mike from work does Clear Shield. He's 3M certified and uses the 3M stuff (he Clear Shielded my phone!) so I bet he'd be willing to do it on some Saturday.

If you are still looking to do this, I can give you the info of the guy we use at work(mazda/maserati/bentley). He does really good work and he also drives an r32 so he is one of us as well. He does tint also so if anybody needs some of that done too let me know and ill give you his number. Ive seen him put this stuff down clean on some pretty wicked cars as well as many a mazda. We have never had any sort of problem with tommy or his work. Let me know and he is just a phone call away.

I asked Mike today what he thought, and he said that he wouldn't be able to do it for a while since he's pretty busy for the next few weekends. He wouldn't be able to do it at work since technically it'd be stealing, but he has some scrap film he could cut by hand. So if you find somebody who can do it sooner (since I don't have a date to go by) then go for that.
