EVERY SINGLE B6 A4 I've seen has it! Apparently the only fix dealers offer is running the highbeams for 20 minutes. The other 'fix' Ltrain offered was removal of the headlights and baking them in the oven (even that is only temporary). I'm suprised that Audi hasn't issued a recall on this. My headlights are now coated with a thin layer of ice on the inside, and it's actually inhibiting the ability to see at night. Does anyone know of an ACTUAL fix for this?

The key is getting the moisture out, problem is it always comes back. I'm thinkin about plugging the vents and putting some silica packets in to remove moisture.

I'm curious to what the response will be.

let dry
reseal
I'm assuming you knew that.

These lights require a little more heat to remove the lenses.

you can fix it by turning the drl off. It heats the lense up then when you go in/out of a garage or car wash it condensates from the temperature change. Had this issue with the touaregs when they first came out with the windshield fogging up.

haha, they're already grayed out, and I don't have DRL's...
Audi said gee that's too bad... in a few more words.

thats bs what the dealer said. If the moisture has frozen and is imparing your ability to see than it has to be replaced (under warranty) at a dealer. I would call and talk to the service manager or call the audi helpline and tell them the situation. Say you crashed your car because you couldnt see the road at night would there be a lawsuit, yea probably, and you would win and they would be worse off then there would be a recall or some bs. Its what has always happened with vw for stupid stuff like key programming or w8 issues or the pollen filter box leaking. its a joke but it works.

Tim, is it coming from car washes? I know if I excessively spray the lights and grill, I will get the HLs to fog for a bit, but it usually goes away after a bit. If so, just don't spray them to much?
Think he's had this problem since he got it
