OK, story behind the name first. I have facial hair similar to Captain Jack when I bought this car. So, I named me new ship the same also. Actually, a lot of thought went into it and reasoning for actually naming the car, but I will spare you.

The Car:
95 Golf 4dr
2.0L 5 spd
Dupont satin black
GM dark blue metallic accents
Black leather interior
Aftermarket stereo (not top of the line, but sounds good and gets LOUD)
FK angel eyes headlights
Depo crystal clear tails
Shaved front bumper and hatch (both to be redone in 09)
Weitec coilovers (cranked down!)
G60 sebrings painted black
General tires, not all-seaons

now onto the performance mods...
ABD big bore intake tube
K&N filter w/ modded airbox
performance wires (forgot brand)
2Y MK2 16V close ratio tranny
268* cam with matching chip
2.5" catless exhaust, sans resonator (LOUD)
IMCO race muffler
Dual 2" Magnaflow stainless tip

I think thats it... I feel like I'm forgetting something but I'm not sure.

Car was dynoed this past Aug making 152ft/lb of torque on first pull, and 131HP on second pull in 3rd gear by Illinois Dyno Center. (AWESOME GUYS, and the owner has a well modded TDI!)

As winter started to hit my headgasket has started to leak, and I think I might have actually blown it the other night when I took it to my storage unit. So, for now it sits in there as a friend and I finish remodeling his basement. Then there will be much rejoicing and repair of the Pearl, so that carnage of rubber and ricers may commence!!

Yes, a PnP head slightly shaved will be involed!!

OH YEAH PICS are here:

Plans are to make it a show worthy car again that will be able to go to the strip or major street abuse. As far as future power mods that are goin on with the h/g are being kept under the covers for now.

Well, I have a small update. Some of the BIG power adders that were going to go on the car are no longer going on. Either the plans fell thru or are being saved for a later project (I do have a Scirocco that needs to go fast too.)

But the good news is there will be other adders going on to make up for some of the loss.

I am also getting close to being able to start working on the car also. The hold up is finishing my buddies basement as he has a pregnant wife that would like to have it done so the house will stay a "little" cleaner. Once thats done adn the garage is organized a little we will be digging in hard core!!
