Maybe its my fault for leaving it in a snow covered parkinglot, maybe its my fault for not building a fence around it in MY parking stalls, maybe its my neighbors fault for hitting it.
I like my neighbors, for the most part. They are a bunch of guys who work on cars or dig ditches for a living, mostly cool dudes that are great to drink with and shoot the shit. Then they break something of yours that may be impossible to get back.
So I get a call last night around midnight-
hey stu, whats going on?'
me-'nothing much, just chillin drinking a beer'
'well, i had a little incident up here at the shop... i hit one of your cars with my truck'
me- 'where you whipping shittys in the lot?'
'no, well yeah, we were, but thats not how this happened'
me-'which one did you hit?'
'the mazda, its not too bad and I will for sure get whatever parts you need for it, you know, whatever I broke'

The car pictured is my Mazda 323gtx, probably one of the 200 left on the planet, next to it my 84 GTI, one of 250,000 left (i have a second one in the garage now). So im not pissed, just upset. Shit happens when youre having fun in the snow, hell Ive broken shit that wasnt mine and didnt have the balls to tell the owner so Im glad that they called me straight away and told me what happened.
it just sucks trying to find parts for it and now not only does it have electrical gremlins, but the parts of the body that were in good shape also now need to be replaced, hood fender grill, headlights surround, rad support and turn signal.
dammit.
